Regional Development Agency PORIN
Regional Development Agency was established in 1996., since when it has constantly evolved as a supporting institution for small and medium enterprises, and since 2004. it started acting as a development agency as well.
Regional Development Agency PORIN Ltd. presents integrated activities for the overall regional development of Primorsko-goranska County as well as Croatia in general. It was established to bring the systematic support in the mobilization and further development of Primorsko-goranska County and its economic entities.
The goal
To create as many start-up enterprises as possible and to create new jobs with the help of new investments in the region.
The mission
Promoting regional development. RDA PORIN promotes and implements projects for regional economic development and creates an entrepreneurial climate; it promotes regional resources in order to boost further growth and development of the region and economic operators by planning and managing sustainable development and cooperating with domestic and foreign investors.
The basic determinants of RDA PORIN’s activities are: promoting and developing economic activities across the region, especially in the areas with unexploited potential and natural resources, technological development, increasing competitiveness i.e. improving the adaptability of economic entities to the world market and increasing exports, encouraging foreign investment, etc.
Target markets
In compliance with our operations there are target groups for which we carry out various activities:
- Big economic systems
- Entrepreneurs / micro, small, medium, crafts, clusters, cooperatives, NGOs, etc.
- Municipalities, cities, counties
- Neighboring regions / regions in the wider environment
- Other forms of institutional support
- Urban and rural areas in which programs and projects for sustainable development of small enterprises are implemented, as well as programs and projects directed towards the youth, the unemployed and other target groups
The founders
The structure of the founders with individual shares is as follows:
- Primorsko-goranska County with the basic equity share of 70%
- Rijeka City - with equity share of 30%
The total equity amounts to 1,000,000.00 kn, paid entirely in cash.
